how do i not let others know i am on line???

when i sign on. i always see who is on line. therefore they must know
i am on line. however when i am busy working i do not want people to
start sending me emails. is there a way to not show others from g mail
or any others that i am on line???? please help

iphone and chat

I am able to get to my inbox and email on the iphone, but the chat box
option does not show up and i can't set myself as available or
unavailable or start a new chat. Can anyone help?

Add to Group Disabled after adding two contacts

I am unable to add contacts to one of my groups after doing so two
times. Here are the steps I take:
1. Select a contact in My Contacts (there is a tick/check mark next to
the contact)
2. Press the Groups button so the list of my groups (I have four
groups) displays

i am having a very difficult time trying to discover how I may import
my windows address book contacts to my google contacts.
i dont have excel, and if i did, i wouldn't know how to use it..
i have no idea how to turn my WAB contacts into a CSV file. If anyone

Chat Disabled, still not working after trying fixes

Hi,
I have searched the postings and tried everything suggested but my
chat still is not working.
I am getting the "Your internet connection is experiencing problems or
your network administrator has blocked Gmail chat" error message.

It says a contact is offline but she is really online.

Friend A is chatting with friend B. I am also chatting friend B.
Friend A is on my chat list but it says she is offline. Friend A says
that I am shown as offline as well. Why is she not showing as online
for me but she is online for Friend B? We are chatting through email

Searching google is very poor...keeps asking "how do we do on
answering" without any feedback..."black hole" kind of thing...talks
around the questions asked and points you to useless information
saying the same thing over and over....track the response and stop

No longer have option to sign into AIM in Gchat

About two weeks ago, I signed out of AIM on my Gchat and now longer am
presented with an option to sign into AIM. I've used several browsers,
my settings are all normal and haven't changed and still, I can only
access GChat, not AIM. I can sign into GChat on my other Gmail
