I have 3 phones with Sprint. The olbie but goodie Blade A900, the
Slider M520 and the New "iPhone Killer" Instinct M900. The Blade and
the Slide both have GMail on them and I belive are the closest
represintation of GMail. I don't have to worry about my Labels and
filters not being seen I can go right to them when I want. I really
like the GMail interface. On the other hand the new MULTIMEDIA
Instinct (Non-PDA, Smart Phone) SUCKS. It ofers everything the other
two phones have but worse. The GMail application is the most basic
thing I have ever seen. NOT GOOD. Google has built in the ability to
configure GMail and Instinct has crushed it down to just INBOX mail.
The new Instinct is the Blade and Slider with a big screen. WOW, I
just got a bigger more expensive phone that pushed my phone plan from
$70 for a shared family plan to a $130 shared everything plane. WITH
OUT A GAIN. Oh yeah GPS, but wait both my cars have GPS. Well when I
am at work I can show everyone where we are. Sorry for the rant but
the Instinct really has me worked up today. My true discussoin is that
the GMail App isn't working for me. It has reduced my very organized
email to just an inbox email app. And they say I should be able to use
it for Corp. Outlook, if it is anything like the GMail app, NO
THANKS.........
When using the email feature natively on the isntinct you can see all
of your usual folders (inbox, sent, deleted, draft, etc.). The real
question si why the gmail downloadable app doesnt allow u enter your
login info. also, when can we get gchat for the isntinct like they
have for BB?

The problem in not Gmail but Instinct. The API that calls onscreen
keyboard is different (newer) that the regular API. The new API takes
more parameters and hence incompatible. So any application that was
not written specifically for Instinct will fail to launch onscreen
keyboard. I am working on developing a solution. Please keep an eye on
ajg.ag website.

RIMiline: Wow... Sounds like you really had a rough time there... Hope
you're having a better day today :o)
I was going to suggest using the Gmail mobile client (available for
download at http://m.google.com/mail) which gives you the same Gmail
look-and-feel as the desktop version. Thanks to jkurtis31 and
VinnieCool for their report, though, I now know that is not working
exactly right either. I have relayed this information to the team for
investigation. In the meantime you should still be able to access
Gmail via the mobile browser (http://gmail.com) for a better
experience with label management.

Any idea how long it will be to have a fix for the instinct?
The main thing I use my phone for is Gmail and I need to be able to
use the labels and archive feature. I only have 30 days to try out
the phone.
