Subject: Transferring Picture(s)?
How can I copy and paste a picture from a Word document into a blog?
Also, if I cannot find the website of a picture but I have the picture
saved in a Word document, how can I get the picture to appear in my
blog? When I tried the "Browse" feature, I got an error saying: "the
image is either corrupt or in an unrecognized format". How can I fix
this problem? The picture I was trying to upload was located in a Word
document.

Try this. Save all your photos to desktop as jpeg files. Upload from
there to your blog:
If you wish to upload photos to your blog. Click:
1. new post
2. "add image" icon. (on the "compose mode" tool bar, 3rd icon from
the right)
3. browse
4. upload image
5. done
6. publish post

(If you have Picasa you can also upload photos to your blog directly
by using the button "blog this")

and i think it might be helpful to remember that I DID NOT TAKE THOSE
PICTURES, NOR DID I UPLOAD THEM OFF OF A USB DEVICE. i simply got them
off AOL, and copied and pasted them into a Microsoft Word document.
just thought i'd mention that in case anyone thought i took those
pictures with a digital camera. i don't know THAT much about
computers!!! :-)

Do you have Word that will open the file?

I don't stay current in MS products, but I've done this several times,
although I don't know which version I used last.

-Open the document in Word.
-Save As and select .html as the file type.
-The file should be created along with a folder with the images.
-Note, if the images are .png, there may be a .png copy and a .jpg
copy in the folder.
-When you find the image, note the name, use normal uploading
procedure.
-Remember, the .html file and the folder are linked, so if you delete
the file the folder will go with it.

If you don't have Word, I'll give you plan B.

hey!!! this is what i did: i copied the picture, then pasted it into a
new document. (since it was originally in a document filled with other
pictures). i went to "Save As" (with the new document), but at first i
couldn't find ".html" for a file type. it just offered: "Word
Document", "Word Template", "Word 97-2003 Document", "find add-ins for
other formats", and "Other Formats". i clicked "Other Formats" and
clicked the drop-down menu. NOW i see what you mean, but is it
supposed to be saved as a "Web Page" or "Web Page, Filtered"? both had
".htm" and ".html" listed. does it matter which one i click?

No, it doesn't matter. Click the first and see if it saves a html
document and a folder with the same name. If not try the other
one. .html and .htm should give the same results.

ok, i got some bad news: i saved it as "Web Page" and it converted
into ".htm". i tried to upload it, but i got the same error message i
got before. then i tried it in "Web Page, Filtered", and it STILL
didn't change to ".html". needless to say, i got the same error
message. note: i tried BOTH modes, and it remained at ".htm" NOT
".html". what now??

You don't upload the .htm. If you saved as pictures.htm, there should
be a pictures_files folder. Look in the folder, locate the image, and
upload the image.

i do. somehow, i got it to an .html format, (cuz it showed a little
Internet Explorer icon) but when i tried to upload it, the same error
message popped up.

I don't know what else to tell you . I have never worked with a
version of Word that, when saving as a Web Page, did not create
'file.html' plus 'file_files' folder, containing the images.

WAIT A MINUTE. i'm gonna try something here........... when i saved it
in .html format, it said "some features may not be compatible with
Works 6.0-9.0". i'm gonna try saving it in that format........and if
that doesn't work i'm trying ALL availible formats. i'll check back in
about ten minutes, sooner if i get success.
